We trace our heritage to the 1940's music scene in New York City. Here's an overview of where we've been and where we're going.

About Our Staff Members
|
| Brian Charles, Owner and Director is a Juilliard trained double reed player and long-time professional performer. He founded Charles Double Reed Company in 1984. Brian moved his family and the business from Manhattan to Northern New Hampshire in 1994. He is married to the love of his life, Sarah and they have a beautiful son, Theo. Brian has worked as a radio DJ, fruit picker, cookie baker and all the other things a professional musician pays his dues doing. He is a published composer and has recorded extensively on oboe, bassoon, clarinet, sax, flute, didjeridu and piano. He has played on video game soundtracks, television and radio commercials. He actually likes reed making and makes all the reeds for our company. |
| Jennifer L. is the sweet voice and happy wanderer in our daily operations.
She is practicing Euro juggling and keeping the accounting area flowing. She is currently learning motorcycle mechanics and keeps extremely busy with
her twin boys, Zack and Tyler (aspiring motorcycle riders).
|
| John Cotter is the professional radio voice and power jumper behind our daily
operations. He is a computer genius and often rat holes our meetings with interesting anecdotes. He is currently planning for a new family member and
trying to figure out how to scale New Hampshire's tallest peak with three kids in tow. |
Sarah Charles occasionally advises us on finances and exercise. We can't seem to get rid of her no matter what we do.
